“Portland Taiko 25th Anniversary Concert” Postcard, Poster, Social Media Graphic and Billboard
Portland Taiko's annual fall concerts celebrate the art and joy of taiko drumming, and are often collaborations with other taiko artists, dancers and musicians. To celebrate the group's 25th anniversary they invited taiko legends, dancers, and former charter members to join them in performance.
For the main image used to promote the concert, two drummers struck a pose showing the give-and-take and playfulness (musical 'banter') present in some of their well-known compositions. This image has a history with Portland Taiko, with which some of their long-time fans are familiar. The design, used for the postcard, poster, social media graphic, billboard and program, also has a relationship to the earlier promotions created for the museum exhibit, which also celebrated the landmark anniversary. The social media image, above, was the smallest use at 2160 x 1080 pixels.
The largest use was on a billboard (22' x 10'), installed near Portland Taiko‘s office and studio space.
